The home-made YEAST facial mask!

So today’s topic will be about a home-made yeast facial mask!

What we know is that yeasts are used for fermentating alcohol drinks but now in Korea, we use this also for beauty purposes, specifically for enhancing our skin conditions!

This home-made yeast mask is organic and has no extra chemicals in it, which is great for our skin! The best part is that yeasts are able to purify and whiten our skin.

In fact, I’ve been putting this mask since 3 months ago because I have freckles.

So that was a short introduction to the Yeast, now I’m going to explain how to create one!

What you need: Milk, Honey, Yeast powder, Bowl and beauty brush

The ingredients are super simple actually! Milk and Honey is great for whitening+peeling+moisturising our skin and barely have side effects which is why it’s perfect for Organic Masks!

Follow the following procedure:

1) Put 2 spoons of Yeast powder inside the bowl

2) 2 spoons of honey

3) 3 spoons of milk

4) Then gently mix all the ingredients (You can either add milk or yeast according to your will)

5) After you mix all the ingredients wait for 5minutes (meanwhile I washed my face!)

6) So this is a picture of me BEFORE putting the mask

 (My skin is quite rough now cause I’ve been staying up late due to a new project going on)

7) After washing your face, apply your toner on your skin then use your beauty brush to gently apply the Yeast mixture on your skin

8) Well of course it’s going to smell like yeast (and millk), but it should be okay knowing that this is all for your skin! Little tips here, normally we wait 15 to 20 minutes for normal facial masks, but for this organic mask we wait around 7 to 10 minutes only! And that’s the end!

So this is AFTER I’ve finished the mask treatment!

See my skin glowing without any cream? Haha It feels really smooth and tight, and of course fresh as well! This is why I love organic masks.  One thing for sure now my face is whiter than my legs and my arms! Hha. Hope you sisters try this mask at home!

You can also apply it on your neck if you have spare mixtures or use it as a bath scrub while taking shower! It’s going to help tightening your skin!

The semi-permanent Eyebrow Tattoo!

It’s been such a long time~

Today’s post is going to be about an eyebrow tattoo!

You should probably know by now that it is trending in China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore and Korea. Currently many eyebrow tattoo artists are invited for beauty seminars in many different countries.

In today’s post I will be introducing one of the amazing tattoo artists in Korea. Her name is Ahn Hee Sung, the owner of the fancy semi - permanent Shop in Myung Dong. She also has a shop near Ehwa Women’s University.

Currently a lot of Chinese visit the shop for the surgery, which makes it really hard for Koreans to book their places. Perhaps this is a syndrome caused by the beautiful Jeon Ji Hyun, LOL

Mrs. Ahn Hee Sung’s shop is called The Yeppen Nunsseop (meaning ‘pretty eyebrows’) and it is located in Myung Dong.

The customer you see in pictures below is from China. Yes, I met a lot of Chinese in this shop. Thank goodness I know how to speak Chinese, we ended up having a fun interview session^^

So the left eyebrow is how it looked like before and the right one is how it looks like after the surgery. (Surprisingly she has done it once before in China…)

Now we can definitely see the difference! We all know how annoying it is to draw our eyebrows every morning! She must be so happy after the surgery.

The process of eyebrow tattooing is pretty simple. First, using the eyebrow pencil, they draw the lines to get the desired shape and then they fill it in with the tattoo machine.  

One amazing fact about Mrs. Ahn is that while the others take an hour, she only takes around 15 minutes! Although she took around an hour to set the shape of the eyebrow, the whole tattooing process was 15 minutes only.

In fact it is known that if you do the surgery for a long time, your skin will be very sensitive, and as the effect of anesthetic slowly disappears, the customer might feel the pain. One more thing is that if you take a long time doing the surgery, it could affect the recovery time as well. Now Mrs. Ahn definitely prevents all these problems, which makes her much more awesome!

So this is how it looks like in the end :D

The straight eyebrows are now trending in Korea. This is because the arch-shaped eyebrows could make you look older. Few more tips are that if your eyebrows are too thick, you might look a little dull while on the other hand if it is too thin, you might look old. But this differs from person to person so we suggest you find the best eyebrow shape for yourselves!

ES KACANG MERAH Korea

Hi semuanya! Hari ini kita mau bicara tentang Es Red Bean atau es kacang merah Korea! 

Khasiat Kacang Merah 

Mencegah rambut rontok: Kalau kita rajin makan kacang merah mereka akan melancarkan sirkulasi darah sehingga nutrisi-nutrisi bisa dibagikan sehingga membantu kesehatan rambut kita.

Diabetes : Sering makan kacang merah bisa mencegah diabetes juga lho. Karena kacang merah ini mencepatkan distribusi insulin! 

Tapi sayangnya kalau kita beli kacang merah di maret-maret sekitar kita kebanyakan mengandung hal-hal lain seperti pengawet, gula, dan penyedap rasa. Sudah pasti mereka kurang sehat bagi kita kan?

Karena itu di Korea sekarang sudah ada banyak tempat yang menyediakan masakan sehat yang terbuat dari kacang merah yang original.

Meskipun agak repot, mereka langsung masak kacang merah ini dengan cara tradisional, hhe.

Mungkin karena itu tempat ini sangat laku..

Es Kacang Merah Korea mengandung kacang merah, susu, es dan Chestnut! Kalau chestnut ini sebenarnya opsional, karena ada beberapa yang kurang suka. Tapi kalau kita memikirkan kesehatan, bagusan ada ya? Haha. Cara bikinnya tidak terlalu susah-susah kok, kita bisa bikin di rumah kita sendiri juga sebenarnya!

Nah, diluar fakta ini adalah makanan sehat, rasanyapun enak banget lho! Rasanya manis, gurih terutama enaknya karena makanan ini bikin mulut kita merasa segar! Hahaha.

Tempat kami yang kunjungi bernama Jang Ggo Bang. Ini adalah tempat khusus Es Kacang Merah!

Tempat ini sudah lumayan terkenal di sekitar Gangnam lho!

Seperti yang di foto, mereka memasak Kacang Merah secara tradisional!

Proses memasak kacang merah

Ada yang penasaran yang putih itu apa? Itu seperti kue tradisional Korea, dalamnya sudah pasti diisi dengan kacang merah! Orang-orang biasanya bilang Red Bean Rice Cake karena memang terbuat dari beras! ^^

Harga Es Kacang Merah ini tapi agak mahal dari yang kita bayangin. Satu Es Red Bean ini harganya 7000 Won (berarti kurang lebih 70Ribu Rupiah ya). Tapi memang hampir semua masakan di Korea diatas 5000 Won T_T Cari makan makin susah… Kalau Rice Cake yang enak ini satunya 1500 Won, lumayan murah dibanding sama Es Red Bean.

Kalau makan Es Kacang Merah dengan rice cake, sudah pasti bisa kenyang! Kalau lagi tidak ada selera makan, kami rekomen tempat ini! Kalau bisa sistars bisa coba bikin di rumah masing-masing, hhe ^^

Koreapun saat sekarang lagi panas banget seperti Indonesia. Sebenarnya setelah balik dari Indonesia minggu kemarin, badan kami merasa kurang enak T.T. Mungkin karena kebanyakan menyalakan A.C kali ya.. Kita semua harus hati-hati biar gak kena pilek karena terlalu banyak menggunakan A.C! Hehe.
